Penerapan Metode Jolly Phonics dalam Mengenalkan Abjad pada Siswa Kelompok A di RA. Bustanul Atfal

Abstract

This The problem that occurs in the village area is the low ability of RA. Bustanul Atfal students in recognizing the alphabet, both visually (shape) and phonetically (sound) is a very serious concern. One of the factors is caused by the use of learning methods that are still conventional, so that many students tend to feel bored quickly and lack focus in learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Jolly Phonics method in introducing the alphabet to group A students of RA. Bustanul Atfal Situwangi. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method through observation data collection techniques, semi-formal interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Jolly phonics method is able to optimize students' abilities in recognizing the alphabet through multisensory activities involving songs, movements and media. In this study, it is concluded that the application of the Jolly Phonics method is effective in early childhood education environments
