Efektifitas Media Plastisin dalam Perkembangan Motorik halus Anak Usia dini

Fine motor development is a crucial aspect of early childhood education, as it affects children’s readiness to write, draw, and perform other academic activities. However, many children still experience delays in this area due to a lack of engaging and meaningful learning stimulation. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using plasticine media on the fine motor development of early childhood students at RA Al Jazila Ciburuy, West Bandung Regency. The research employed a quantitative ex post facto approach involving 25 children aged 4–5 years from group A as research subjects. Data were collected through structured observation, teacher questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed that the use of plasticine media had a significant effect on fine motor development, with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05 and a contribution of 51.2%. The activities of molding and shaping plasticine effectively trained children’s finger strength, hand–eye coordination, and persistence in learning. This research contributes empirical evidence that simple, manipulative-based media can be effectively used to stimulate fine motor development in early childhood education through enjoyable and contextual learning experiences.
