Pengaruh Media Film Numberblock Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas II SDN Pasirbanteng
Abstract
Mathematics learning in elementary schools often presents challenges due to the abstract nature of the subject matter and students’ low motivation to learn. Using a quantitative approach, this study aimed to determine the extent to which the Numberblocks film media influences the mathematical abilities of second-grade students at SDN Pasirbanteng. The research employed a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 36 participants from grade two. Data were collected through a multiple-choice achievement test consisting of 25 items that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using SPSS software with a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), with an average pretest score of 59.67 and a posttest average of 76.00. These findings indicate that the use of Numberblocks films significantly improved students’ mathematics learning outcomes, with an effect size of 1.12, which falls into the large effect category. This suggests that Numberblocks films can serve as an effective learning medium for teaching addition and subtraction of numbers ranging from 1 to 100. The effectiveness is attributed to the engaging integration of visual, auditory, and narrative elements that enhance students’ interest and understanding.
