Inovasi Guru PAI dalam Menerapkan Pembelajaran yang Berpusat Pada Siswa (SCL) di Era Kurikulum Merdeka di SMP Mahardika Batujajar

This study aims to describe the innovations of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in implementing student-centered learning in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum. The curriculum requires teachers to act as facilitators and motivators who can create active, collaborative, and enjoyable learning experiences. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation conducted at SMP Mahardika Batujajar. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validation through source triangulation. The findings revealed that PAI teachers applied various innovations such as the use of digital media, project-based learning, and reflective activities that encouraged active student participation. These innovations were proven to enhance students’ learning motivation, collaboration skills, and contextual understanding of Islamic values. This study concludes that the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum largely depends on teachers’ ability to innovate and adapt learning strategies to students’ characteristics.
