Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students, which were influenced by a lack of interest and the use of monotonous teaching methods. This study aims to determine the effect of the Game-Based Learning method using Wordwall on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDS Sumur Bandung. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: an experimental class and a control. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using normality and Independent Sample T-Test with the help of SPSS. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental class, where the average pretest score increased from 53.81 to 84.53, while the control class rose from 60.00 to 77.14. The significance value of 0.012, 0.05 indicates a significant difference between the two classes. The study concludes that the Game-Based learning method using Wordwall is effective in improving students` mathematics learning outcomes. This approach contributes positively to instructional innovation by creating an interactive, enjoyable, and enganging learning atmosphere that encourages active students participation.
